Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe

On April 22, 1880, the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway reaches Albuquerque, which eventually becomes the hub of operations in the state. That decision means economic jeopardy for Santa Fe, bypassed because of the cost of bringing tracks into town.
