Progress
I made a little progress on the HT last night & today. Still need to do a little tweaking on the alignment.

Brian Setzer Bike
I noticed Brian Setzer's 1952 Triumph Thunderbird was just listed on eBay. It's a little Pimpy for my taste but I've still always thought it was pretty cool. This bike used to be a crazy, flawless museum piece. It's kinda cool that you can tell now it's been ridden. Almost all of these super high-profile Triumphs seem to pop up for sale eventually. I wonder if it's because they're always a little high-maintenance.

Quick Updates
I finally got my NM motorcycle endorsement last week. I'm still a little hesitant to go too far from home for reliability reasons, but at least I'm legal. The bike is still running pretty good. I think I my have even discovered a pre-flight ritual today that allows me to start it cold without priming. We'll see if it works again tomorrow.
I going Thursday to check out another local Triumph bobber. I'm hoping to get a good look at how he dealt with routing wiring and mounting stuff like the fender, seat, oil tank, etc.
I think the BSA pictured here was built entirely from "leftovers." It rules.
Handmade Motorcycle
This guy makes me feel like a Teutul (ordering parts out of catalogs). It took me about 30 seconds to realize you actually have to hit the play button to start the video.

Italian Cossacks?
John,
That photo is too funny. It's mislabeled, and it IS the Seattle Cossacks!!!
Sorry for the confusion...
I was actually referring to the "Here's" hyperlink pointing to:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrLvYrKYVD8
The first time I watched the video I almost thought it was CGI. I later saw this discussion about the Guzzi's they are all riding on JJ.
I couldn't find any stills worth using so improvised with the classic photo of the Cossacks. All the other "MC Drill Teams" I could find were fat dorks on Kawasakis.

Tenino Pix
Here's a few pictures from Tenino WA:
The first one is the big brother to my 45". I think it's about a 1947 Knucklehead, same color as my WLA. Behind it is a 1948 Panhead. 1948 is the only year Pan with a springer front end. My favorite, next to the "Knuck".
The next one is a 1937 Indian Sport Scout. Also a 45", but rumor has it the Indian will run circles around a WL...
Between Saturday and a Sunday ride with a couple Seattle Cossacks, I put about 200 miles on the Harley.

Win this 1940 Knucklehead
Wheels Through Time benefit. How often do you get a chance to win a Knuck? I was looking at trying to make it there while I'm in NC but it's 4 hours away.

Plumbing
As you probably know, I'm of course still flirting with trying to run the filcoolator oil tank. I've been putting a little more thought into plumbing. The black Earl's bike has the cleanest of those I've found. If he is running a rocker box feed, I can't figure out how (anyone else see something I've missed).
.
These Helrich bikes look sloppy to me.
This one looks nice but I still like the Earl's bike better. I'm NOT gonna run without a rocker feed. Hugging the "seat tube" on the frame like this might also help to keep the oil lines out of harms way.
If you have any clever suggestions, let me know.

Bike or Just Jealous Girlfriend?
Glad to hear the clutch cable is fixed. You need to be positive about your Anglo-Saxon motorcycle experience. At least it doesn't have natural rubber coolant hoses that crack on an annual basis.
The 45" was missing intermittently, and I attempted to replace the condenser. The new condenser wouldn't work at all, so I replaced the original one, and now the miss is gone. Sometimes I think my motorcycle just gets jealous when I spend time doing something else, and it just wants to let me know who wears the pants in the relationship...
Oh well, I guess I have at least learned the miss is electrical and not carburetion (if one can glorify a Linkert by calling it a carburetor).
Clutch Cable
OK, I know its pathetic that I'm posting about getting a new clutch cable. I bought a Barnett cable. I must say I'm pretty damn impressed with the quality and my clutch is working great. Why is it almost everything I take off my bike that was made in the UK seems to make it a little bit better.
I elected not to use The Proper Way to Test a Clutch
My bike was missing, refusing to idle and generally running like piss. After a minute or two I realized I had ran it out of gas again. Next time I'm complaining about tuning problem feel free to ask me if I have a full tank.
More Pix
Sorry to hear about the parts delay. Feeling guilty for being a lurker, so thought I'd add some of my favorite pictures:
A "small" project you can take on for Vaughn...
The pretty girl on the back of the 1916 HD should look familiar...
The bad-news biker type Mom warned her about.
The woman "Bad-News" eventually married.
